Who is your office Mum?

Every Company has an ‘Office Mum’ – Here’s how you know if it’s you!

With Mother’s Day just around the corner it had me thinking about how many motherly figures we have in our lives. There’s our actual mum, a grandparent, that one friend who is old before their time and without a doubt – every workplace has an office Mum, but how do you know if this is you?

If you are that colleague who never forgets a birthday, always has spare tissues in your top drawer and thinks every day is a day for cake – you could be the office Mum!

The office Mum is that one go-to person that you can talk to about everything and anything whether it be work-related, personal or anything else – there is nothing that falls outside of her areas of expertise when it comes to quality advice and support.

Here at HR180 it is clear to us all who our office Mum is and she is most definitely our go-to-girl for all of the above. Much like our real Mum’s she’s always there when we need her and always tells it like it is (even if it’s not always what we want to hear!) but we wouldn’t have her any other way!

So, I challenge you all to have a think about who looks after you at work and this Mother’s Day, thank her for being the fabulous person that she is!
