Here’s our top tips on how to keep your company culture sweet on and around Valentine’s Day, to avoid any HR heartache!
Small acts of kindness can really go a long way, especially if your colleagues may be going through a hard time or feeling a little lonely underneath all of the romance in the air! A few words of praise for your employees could brighten up their day, or why not bring in coffee to lift the spirits of your team? Kindness can often be contagious!
Whilst Valentine’s Day can be a lovely, special day for those spending it with their other halves, it can be a not so cheerful time for those who may be alone or facing a challenging time. Keep an eye out for employees who might be particularly quiet or avoiding social situations around the office and make sure that everybody knows that you have an open-door policy and are always available to talk.
Bringing in sweet treats or planning a lunch for the whole team is a great way to make everyone feel good and make the day a little more joyful, for those who are single too!
Nip any workplace flirting in the rose-bud! It might be helpful to take a look at any policies in place that would cover an office romance and make sure that everyone is aware of them, not just on Valentine’s Day.
