The mad house called HR180 is all Claire’s doing (don’t worry she kicks herself daily!) and came about as a result of 22 years work making significant contributions to the bottom lines and cultures of various organisations.

Otherwise known as the “Gaffer” (NO, not Go-For), Claire is passionate, unrelenting and totally collaborative, encouraging an open and caring workplace that treats everyone as individuals, as an exemplar model for HR180’s clients (don’t worry we’re still not perfect!).

Claire NEVER does anything by halves and we suspect may have lineage back to Noah as she believes everything (except husbands) must come in two’s. She has two dogs, 6 -year-old twins, 2 houses (okay one is a kid’s playhouse) and two ovens. She does have the attention span of a Gnat, so whilst she loves anything ‘homey’ she couldn’t do it full time.

Claire now spends her time in a variety of ways: changing hats at a minute’s notice, chatting to business owners about their challenges, running HR180, and coaching all members of the team to deliver excellence in everything they do.

We’re not sure how HR180 survived without the Head of our Smartypants team – Ange.  Whilst being a real life mum and surrogate to the rest of us, Ange is a force of nature and the brains behind our transformation to efficient and organised eleven years ago!  Prior to her arrival we were lucky if invoices went out on time or anyone got paid (the gaffer included). 
She has great communication, the power of organisation (despite killing whole rainforests) and an amazing sense of humour (essential for working here)!!
Ange has two children (one who's about to start Uni in Sept), two step children and is Nanna to Ollie, Katie, Lewis and William (despite not looking a day over 70!!!!).  She is the glue that holds HR180 together and keeps us "sticky" enough that people want to stay.

Having joined straight from University and now well and truly part of the furniture, Laura is  “homegrown” and has been one of our HR Partners since 2014. Laura has had a wealth of exposure to many wild and wonderful cases during her time at HR180 and has worked with a diverse range of industries (including distribution, hospitality, property development, charity, retail, care and more!)
 
Laura has excellent operational HR experience and works closely with her clients to manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including disciplinaries, grievances, consultations, performance and development, process implementation and payroll). A self-confessed perfectionist, Laura has a passion for excellence (and a good spreadsheet).
 
When not donning her HR superhero cape, Laura is a busy Mum to her two beautiful (and strong-willed!) girls.

Sam started out (as most of us do!) in generalist roles, developing a wide ranging knowledge of HR best practice, legislation and key processes, including implementation of compliant policies and procedures. Working in retail HR management, Sam gained experience in handling disciplinary, grievance, performance management, contractual and organisational change.

By instinct creative, Sam studied Theatre and Performance at degree level, she prides herself on a rock solid work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of personal performance.

A keen baker and mother of two, Isobel joined us all those years ago as an intern and has forged an outstanding and rapid career. Isobel is passionate about SMEs and has performed many roles within HR180, from managing a unique portfolio of clients including an ancestral estate, an American parent owned party supplies company and a rapid growth IT company to designing our fabulous eLearning content!
She has excellent experience for Mission Control and is specialist in the Strength Test, people strategy, business planning, payroll implementation, HR software roll out and operational HR.

With a background in recruitment, Miranda originally joined us as Office Co-ordinator back in 2019 but then transferred over to HR in 2020. She has gained valuable HR generalist experience in that time and always sets herself the highest of standards!
 
Outside of work, she is a busy Mum of two and enjoys getting out for a run when she can. Perhaps displaying her competitive streak, she is a loud, enthusiastic watcher of most sport including women’s football and Formula 1!

Alicia joined the HR180 superhero team after graduating from The University of Stirling with a degree in Religion and Philosophy. A self-confessed ‘geek’, she even started a Game of Thrones society during her time there! When she’s not at her station inside Mission HQ you’ll find her at home with her cats Socks and Sooty, or in the hills with her dog Finn. Alicia is driven, committed and ready for anything – a real life HR hero!

Angela has experience with all aspects of HR Administration and support having worked in Personnel, Payroll and HR admin in the Hospitality, Visitor Attraction and Market Research industries in the past. She enjoys supporting all employees and teams with the challenges they face daily and is passionate about playing her part in ensuring employers and employees have the best experience possible when at work. Angela realises the importance and value providing excellent HR Administration adds to businesses so will always strive to do her best in everything she is asked to do.

Angela has two teenage children who keep her busy when she isn’t working and all the challenges they bring, especially providing a free taxi service on a regular basis!

Liz has experience with all aspects of HR Administration and support having worked in Recruitment and HR in the Hospitality industry for 19 years. Liz is passionate about people and enjoys playing her part in ensuring employers and employees have the best experience possible. Liz enjoys supporting all with their daily challenges and knows the importance of providing excellent HR Administration for all of our clients and her colleagues.

Liz has three grown up children and is a nanny to Lilly & George. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, friends & family and taking her dog Nancy for long walks in the countryside.

Jasper is the consummate Frenchman; cool, sophisticated and loves the thrill of the chase! Rarely without a ball outside of work, in the office Jasper is our sensitive, sensible old man with amazing stress reduction skills. Jasper had a run of bad luck with employers, his first evicting him onto the streets when he was 3 months old. After several false starts, the assistance of the Dogs Trust Charity for Unemployed Dogs and a random chance meeting with Claire and Jon, Jasper joined the Superheroes in 2009 at the age of 3 1/2. As a Belgian Shepherd Dog, Jasper is very attuned to the feelings of the office using his expressive almond eyes to calm even the most problematic situation.

Prudence, or Pru for short, is the most imprudent dog the HR180 team have ever met. Being Cheese to Jasper’s Chalk she is bubbly, mischievous and a teeny bit mad which keeps the Superheroes team in constant laughter! As a Welsh Springer Spaniel born with a silver spoon in her mouth, Pru is very attuned to both her own needs and the movements and migrations of various large birds. Many a pheasant and pigeon have fallen fowl of her jaws, although this behaviour is not tolerated in the office where she is the exemplar and role model of stress relief.
