 Triangle Staffing Case Study

Triangle Staffing are a non-traditional recruitment agency. They value and highly prize their outstanding client delivery standards, are a small and intimate team and abide by exemplary ethical business practices. Due to huge growth a new role was created for a recruitment consultant.

Having previously attempted a poor recruitment campaign with recruitment to recruitment agencies, Managing Director of Triangle Staffing, Symone Salwan, wanted to try something unique and different that reflected the values of her business, which is based heavily on relationship building

The Solution
 
Through thorough client briefings, Claire Morley-Jones of hr180°, developed a complete recruitment package for Triangle to help find the right talent to fill this brand new role in the company.
 
Firstly, the hr180° team worked on the job description and person specification that truly sold what the job entailed and required. For example, in order to attract the greatest number of candidates who were client delivery focused rather than sales orientated, the decision was taken to name the post Placement Co-ordinator. 
 
The hr180° time and effort expended at these initial stages allowed the rest of the campaign to fall into place naturally, whilst remaining true to the behaviours and skills required of the role. As the prime requirements were interpersonal ability, relationship building and service orientation, hr180° decided to use the innovative method of using “Facebook Flyers” – supplied by the hugely popular networking site - to attract candidates! This was a first for Triangle Staffing, but with Symone’s support and agreement, one that was exceptionally successful.
 
Adverts were also placed on the hr180° website, Total Jobs and Reed where candidates were also encouraged to apply.
 
After designing the CV screening criteria, 12 telephone interview questions and a face 2 face interview script, hr180° got underway with the first round of the screening process. At this stage Triangle Staffing were not involved at all, ensuring that fully qualified and fully briefed HR specialists were assessing the various candidates against stringent criteria.
 
After the screening, an initial shortlist was created and telephone interviews were conducted with the lucky candidates. All other applications were kindly declined and a full feedback service was offered to every candidate. After scoring all telephone interview results, hr180° were able to provide Triangle Staffing with a shortlist of 5 applicants for final face to face interview.
 
Using a competency based interview method both Claire and Symone interviewed together and subsequently appointed a candidate. 
 
The teams’ experience and expertise in recruitment resulted in a recruitment campaign that worked – first time.
